The Horse People have been creating happy camp experiences for youth aged 9-17 for over thirty years. During each two-week residential summer program, youngsters learn the art and science of horsemanship during the day, while evenings include activities such as dances, sports, movies, games, bonfires and more. This very popular program allows youngsters from every part of the world to meet and play together. This unique cultural blend combined with excellent teaching makes for an unforgettable experience.
At the Horse People, your child will learn from the best. All Horse People instructors are either certified or interns in the national coaching certification program. Some have represented Canada and other countries at the Pan Am Games, University Games, or been listed to the Canadian team. Our lessons are structured so that each level rides safely, yet is challenged to progress - fun is the key element. For the accomplished junior with a taste for competition, we offer a specialized program.
Although our specialty is riding, we do have a comprehensive sport and social program. Our certified swim instructors offer the camper the opportunity to upgrade their swimming skills and achieve their Red Cross badges. Our limited enrollment and 1:2 staff to camper ratio guarantees individual attention.

For more information on residential summer programs, see our Camp Overview , a schedule of a typical day , and this year's dates and rates. Registration forms should be filled out and returned to the Horse People, along with payment, at least four weeks prior to the start of the session.
